Pike o' Blisco

Southern Fells - 709m (2,326 ft)

With

Side Pike - 326m

Not the biggest, best, or greatest fells in the Lake District by any measure, but Pike o’ Blisco is one that I have a great deal of affection for. It was here that I first learned outdoor lead climbing (trad - if that means anything to you!), but without ever doing any form of outdoor climbing beforehand (not really recommended if I’m honest). The fell has a fine character and is a pleasant place to shoot. It’s prominent peak draws the eye, Long Scar is great to shoot rock climbers, and the summit offers wonderful views over to the Langdale Pikes, Bowfells, and Crinkle Crags. Side Pike also features here and while not a Wainwright per se, its crags on the south and east faces are certainly photogenic.
