*Please note, due to Covid-19 restrictions in the UK I am unable to take on any new work and roles in terms of outdoor photography. I will look to resume this aspect of my work as soon as possible and once government restrictions are lifted*
Welcome to the Photographic Services section of the website. In addition to selling prints of my work
here in the Lake District I am also happy to work with clients looking for
photographs of a more bespoke nature and on a ad hoc basis. In this
section of the website, you can read more about these services and explore the ways
in which I am able to get the shots that you require for your own collection, publication, website, or company.
This may include shooting specific mountains, lakes, tarns, or outdoor events across Cumbria, but also further afield. Indeed, for all such work I am happy to travel across the UK and Europe more broadly, and work from my humble ‘photography van.’ Regardless of location, and given my background in hiking, mountaineering, and climbing I am capable of getting to most locations without too much trouble and will always use my own climbing equipment and alpine gear when needed. Briefly stated I am able to provide three services relating to this.
Please click on the respective links below to find out more about each area and service, or scroll on past for some detail about the photography equipment I generally use when shooting in the field.

When working in the field I tend to use a range of camera equipment, depending on what I'm shooting for that day or week. At present my current line up is as follows.
DSLR Equipment: mainly used for landscape shots, capturing animal portraits, and climbers from afar
- Nikon D810
- Nikon D800
- Wide angle: Tokina 16-28mm F2.8 AT-X PRO
- Standard zoom: Nikon 24-120mm f/4 VR G
- Telephoto (short): Tokina 70-200mm f/4 AT-X PRO
- Telephoto (long): Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary
Mirrorless Equipment: mainly used for fast and light shooting when weight is an issue. I will generally carry this set up for alpine photography, although in the past I have carried small, Nikon DSLR APS-C cameras for this type of shooting
- Fujifilm X-T3
- Fujifilm X-T200
- Standard zoom: Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4
- Telephoto zoom: Fujinon XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8
Drone Equipment: obviously has pretty much one use but I use this for capturing large landscape footage or climbers on the rock face
- DJI Mavic Air 2
